OCEAN STATE DERMATOLOGY ASSOCIATES

Ocean State Dermatology Associates was founded in 1981 by Elizabeth A Welch, MD. The following year she was joined by Stephen E. Glinick, MD. OSDA is a full service general dermatology practice with special interest in surgical and non-surgical treatment of skin cancer and non-invasive cosmetic dermatology. In addition to treating all diseases of the skin, hair, and nails, the doctors also offer chemical peels, Neostrata glycolic acid products, POWER PEEL micro-dermabrasion, OBAGI BLUE PEELS, sclerotherapy, and vascular DIOLITE 532 laser for telangiestasia and veins. As Medical Directors of The Laser Institute for Medical Esthetics, Inc. we are also able to offer laser treatments for pigmented lesions, hair removal, tatoos and other vascular lesions in the same building as our Providence, RI office. Office visits are by appointment only. OSDA has two locations listed below.

The following insurance plans are accepted: Blue Cross-Blue Shield of RI (including Healthmate, Healthmate 2000, Healthmate Coast to Coast, Classic Blue), Blue Chip, HealthCare Value Management, Medicare, Cost Care, and "out-of-area " Blue Cross plans that have reciprocity with RI Blue Cross. Private insurance is accepted for surgical procedures. Cosmetic services are the responsibility of the patient and are not billable to insurance. Ocean State Dermatology Associates prides itself on personalized service. The doctors do not rely on paraprofessionals to see their patients. Thus all patients really do get to "see the doctor."
